QuiteGood Mates with Diana Chan

Masterchef winner Diana Chan has joined us in the kitchen for our QuiteGood Mates collaboration! We’re bringing the flavours from her ’gram into your pan, so you can cook with Diana at your place.

OUR NEW QUITEGOOD MATE IS… DIANA CHAN!

When it comes to kitchen inspiration, Diana Chan sure gives it a good shake of the wok. Influenced by the cornucopia of produce she encountered in Australia when she first moved here as an 18-year-old, as well as her Chinese-Malaysian roots, Diana’s food is a flavourful balance of fresh ingredients and an inherited back-catalogue of cultural recipes.

We’ve been Chan fans since the Malaysian-born cook first graced our screens as the winner on the ninth season of MasterChef back in 2017. Since then, the self-taught culinary whizz has been incredibly busy creating, designing and collaborating on a tonne of projects from Sydney to Singapore. Her IG account is a goldmine of delicious dinner treasures to unearth and, if we’re honest, we’re guilty of spending too long salivating over her beautiful recipes.

But now that Diana has joined us in the kitchen for our QuiteGood Mates collaboration, we’re bringing the flavours from her ’gram into your pan, so you can cook with Diana at your place. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy Diana’s recipes for six weeks from 21 February.

QUITELIKE AND DIANA CHAN - A PERFECT PAIRING

We love Diana’s food because she is all about bringing balance to the plate in the most delicious way – and all without overcomplicating things. “For me it's all about using fresh local ingredients that are seasonal,” she says. “But also thinking outside the box and using what you already have. I always look in the fridge, rather than following a recipe.”

It’s Diana’s real approach to cooking that we reckon makes a good match for the way we do things at QuiteLike. And luckily, it’s a mutual feeling for the mum of two, who says our meal kits really take the stress out of thinking about what to cook on busy weeknights.

“I like the fact that it [QuiteLike] is simple. It's a six-step process,” she says. “I'm not a crazy recipe person. During the week I don’t have time to look through a cookbook and go, oh, there's 20 different steps in this thing and 50 different ingredients!

“But QuiteLike is six steps and, maybe, 12 different ingredients, some of which you have in the pantry. That's really simple and very straightforward. And the dishes ultimately are very tasty and nutritious, too!”

Diana’s no-fuss approach to making dinner time packed with good flavour and good things is exactly why we love her. And we can’t wait for you to also fall for her summer recipe collection for QuiteLike.
