Your Guide to Unlocking Love on Valentine’s Day
Meals for Date Night. Recipes to make at home for Valentines Day
Forget cupid and his bread roll arms drawing that silly little bow, as sure as the sun rises each day, the real way to entrap a would-be lover is through food. Even the blunt instrument of an early homo sapien brain understood this simple fact. Hunt beast, make fire, impress mate. Not much has changed, although, things have refined a little. Now there’s wine (thankfully), and an invitation to the wooers cave is no longer extended by way of a thunk to the head with a club (also, thankfully).
So, yes, the point… Valentine’s Day is fast-approaching and if you’re keen to unleash some romance on a significant other, you’re going to need to hit the pans. Rustle up some amore and feed your sweetheart to the point that elicits their utter devotion to you. A delicious, sensual meal really could move things along from point A to point B, sliding the bar from casual to committed.
OK, but don’t panic, together we can devise a master plan, erm, we mean, menu, to lure your lover into deeper depths of affection. And why stop at just one candlelit dinner? Sure, everyone is extra loved up on February 14, but you could unravel a week of devoted dinners at your love interest’s feet to hit the point home and beat a path to their heart via their stomach. Date night doesn’t have to wait for the green light from a long-dead Saint!
Of course, there’s also the little matter of getting it right, too. If your loved one is allergic to prawns, you’re going to want to steer clear, unless you both find the emergency department oddly romantic. If they despise peas in all their forms, commonsense dictates you don’t cook a pea risotto, unless you want to spend the whole night making it up to them (maybe you do?). But, if you have partner who enjoys opening parcels, our Paper Bag Miso Steamed Fish with Sweet Potato Wedges, might just tickle them pink.
Nobody knows them quite like you do, so come this way to check out our delicious menus and select the perfect meal for your perfect match.
And if all that fails, there’s always the good, old-fashioned caveman club… No! We’re kidding – definitely don’t do that!
